John Flanagan

John Flanagan begins his second season with the ASU Baseball program. Flanagan played under Pat Murphy at Notre Dame in 1988 and 1989 before coaching with Murphy in 1990 and 1991. As a member of Coach Murphy's Fighting Irish staff, Flanagan oversaw the outfielders, as well as coaching hitters and baserunners. He was also involved in recruiting and coordinating the annual Irish Alumni game.

After graduating from Notre Dame, Flanagan and former Major League player Ron Coomer developed C.F. Swingtown, a baseball academy in Chicago. Flanagan was the owner and CEO for 15 years, overseeing its growth from idea to nationally recognized baseball academy. C.F. Swingtown has seen over 1,000 alumni earn scholarships totaling over $16 million to colleges and universities. In addition to C.F. Swingtown, Flanagan is also the co-founder and operating partner of a successful real estate investment and development firm.

Flanagan will oversee operations of Pat Murphy's All Nine Baseball Academy and PTM Programs for Youth, and will serve as Camp Director for All Nine. PTM Programs for Youth is Coach Murphy's non-profit foundation dedicated to building life skills through baseball. The "Sandlot All Stars" program has become the flagship of PTM Programs for Youth bringing together a diverse group of young kids, ages 4-10, to learn about baseball, develop leadership skills, and take an active role in building relationships within their community.

John and his wife Sami have two children, Lucas and Hagan.
